Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology and Center for Stem Cell Biology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center invite applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek an outstanding investigator whose research program relates to Stem and/or Progenitor Cell Biology. Areas of particular interest include mechanisms of cellular reprogramming and cell fate determination, preferably using mouse models or human ES cells, but the principal criterion is scientific excellence. The successful candidate will join a vibrant community of researchers that are focused on a broad range of biological problems in the fields of Cell, Developmental and Stem Cell Biology (www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/cdb and www.vcscb.org). In addition, the highly collaborative nature of research at Vanderbilt will also present opportunities for the successful candidate to interact with interdisciplinary groups across both the Medical School and Arts and Sciences campuses. Candidates are expected to develop a strong and creative research program and to participate in graduate education.
