This plasmid will express the islet isoform of glucokinase in eukaryotic cell lines.  It contains a rat glucokinase cDNA (islet isoform) cloned into pCMV4, a plasmid that drives expression from using a cytomegalovirus promoter, a translational augmenter from alfalfa mosaic virus and 3’ splice and polyadenylation signals from human growth hormone gene.
