Meeting Agenda/Notes

Cells extend features such as filopodia and microvilli from their surface to sense and respond to their physical and biochemical environments. In certain cases, these structures also enable more specialized functions such as nutrient uptake and mechanosensation. In this seminar I will discuss how cells employ motor proteins, actin filaments, and adhesion molecules to build and stabilize these cell surface features.
