As part of Vanderbilt’s involvement in the Human Tumor Atlas Network, we are preparing an atlas at single-cell resolution of the two most common precancerous tumors of the colon – adenomas and sessile serrated lesions. I will present our initial findings and focus on our discovery that sessile serrated lesions arise from gastric metaplasia with an associated marked reduction in CDX2.
