Abstract: Sox17 is essential for both endoderm and mesoderm development, but the mechanisms that regulate its spatiotemporal expression are largely unknown. In this presentation we discuss how VGER can help you harness CRISPR-mediated homology directed repair to efficiently produce mice with precise modifications and describe how two such models are being used to uncover specific regulatory functions for two evolutionarily conserved regions within the Sox17 locus.
