Creative Data Solutions
The overall mission of Creative Data Solutions (CDS) is to provide bioinformatics and informatics services, and to increase the ability of investigators to both publish their work and acquire funding. Dr. Cartailler will provide an overview of the services CDS provides that are relevant to investigations in stem and progenitor cell biology. This includes the analysis of single‐cell and bulk RNA sequencing data, ChIP sequencing data, and general bioinformatics.
Vanderbilt Genome Editing Resource
Cre-lox is widely used to perform conditional gene deletions in mice but it has limitations. Dr. Sampson will describe progress to use dCas9-KRAB to conditionally suppress gene expression in mice. By using sgRNA expressing mice, made using piggyBac, with established dCas9-KRAB repressor mice, it may be possible to achieve single and multigene knock-downs in a manner that is faster and less costly than Cre-lox.
