Presentation Title Building and Rebuilding the Retina
Status This meeting has already occurred

Meeting Agenda/Notes

  • My lab studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating neurogenesis, with a particular focus on the retina.
  • This talk will be divided into two parts. First, I will show unpublished results showing how light polarizes cone photoreceptors in the plane of the mouse retina.
  • Second, I will be presenting our latest work on a transcriptional cascade that instructs how retinal progenitor cells change their competence over time to give right to the appropriate neuronal cell types for a given developmental stage, and how we might be able to use these factors to stimulate retinal regeneration.
