Investigators may choose to have cryopreserved mouse strains rederived or shipped to other facilities for rederivation.

Recent notifications:
  1. Investigators may request cryopreserved mouse lines from the VCMR by clicking on the “Request this mouse line”. This will generate an email to the manager of the resource.
  2. All requests from external investigators for mouse lines in the VCMR require the completion of an MTA through MTAShare ( Requests from non-academic (commercial) entities will also require review by the Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization (CTTC).
  3. Investigators requesting shipment of cryopreserved samples must supply a FedEx number or other courier account number and ask that the shipping container be returned to the VCMR within one week of receipt.
  4. The shipment of live mice will be managed by the Vanderbilt Division of Animal Care (DAC). The DAC will provide certificates of animal health as requested.

$5,000.00 Non-Profit academic entities / $7,500.00 For-Profit entities

At least two genotype-confirmed pups.

Additional fees for shipment of litter.  Recovered litters will be shipped within 2 to 3 months of payment.  The actual number of animals recovered will vary.  At least two genotype-confirmed animals are guaranteed.

This is a sufficient amount to recover at least one litter using VCMR-provided protocols.

Cryopreserved Embryos
