|Presentation Title||Lrig1 as a potential marker for the esophageal basal progenitor cells with stem cell characteristics|
|Status||This meeting has already occurred|
Homeostasis of the esophageal epithelium is maintained by the progenitor cells residing in the basal layer. However, it remains a topic of debate on whether some of these basal progenitor cells exhibit stem cell characteristics. Through lineage tracing and flow sorting, we are investigating whether the Pan-ErbB negative regulator Lrig1 is a functionally important stem cell marker in the mouse esophagus.
