Our work is focused on identifying the molecular basis of endoderm organ development using model organisms. We then use this information to recapitulate organ development in vitro starting with human pluripotent stem cells. This approach has been used to generate 3 dimensional human organ tissues including intestine, pancreas, and stomach.
