Profile

I am an epidemiologist and OB/GYN with experitise in large cohorts, behavioral interventions, clinical trials, assessment of medical tests, and teaching quantitative methods. Much of my primary research focuses on getting answers that matter to women and their care providers related to adverse pregnancy outcomes, uterine fibroids, pelvic floor disorders, and thyroid disease. I also study ketogenic diet, strength training, and physical activity as  pathways to prevention and management of chronic conditions. Within content areas I serve in cross-cutting roles in policy-relevant areas including health services, health outcomes, evidence-based practice, systematic reviews, cost analysis, informed medical decision-making, and comparative effectiveness.
