The mission of the Vanderbilt Hormone Assay & Analytical Services Core is to facilitate diabetes, endocrine, and metabolic research across a range of species. Our objective is to provide sensitive, reproducible, and inexpensive analyses of hormones, amino acids, catecholamines, lipids, stable isotopes, purine nucleotides, and markers of oxidative stress and inflammation. The core offers investigators access to assays which are not readily available, assistance with method development, training, technical support, and access to research space and personnel.

The Hormone Assay & Analytical Services Core provides the following services:

  • Radioimmunoassays (RIA)
  • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Luminex multiplex assays
  • Analox enzymatic assay
  • Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS)

The  Hormone Assay & Analytical Services Core includes three Sub-Cores:

The Hormone Assay and Analytical Services Core is supported by NIH grants DK059637 and DK020593. Please acknowledge this in your publications.
