I have been a research assistant in the Vanderbilt Transgenic Mouse / ES Cell Shared Resource since 2008. I work with stem cells for gene targeting and RMCE projects. I also do pronuclear DNA microinjection, ES cell injections into blastocysts, embryo and sperm cryopreservations, rederivations, and assisted reproduction techniques. I received a BS from Vanderbilt University in 2002, during which I worked in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics culturing several cell lines. After graduation, I spent a year in Scotland at the Glasgow School of Art studying photography, then came back to the US and received a MSEd in Science Education from Old Dominion University.
