As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working with Dr. Billy Hudson and Dr. Julie Hudson, I will be exploring the intersection of science and education. My project aims to develop a novel curriculum that bridges discovery science and K-12 education in a blended learning environment utilizing innovative approaches to learning. The major research question being address is how collagen IV and the basement membrane forms during development. To understand this phenomenon, I am using brine shrimp (Artemia S.; Sea Monkeys), which can be used within a science classroom setting. The goal of this work is to expand the scientific knowledge and to publish finding on this unique education paradigm.
